Study underway for Singapore’s first plastic bottle recycling plant, which could recycle 150 million bottles a year

At its launch on Tuesday, the Plastics Recycling Association of Singapore also announced plans to set up a Plastics Recycling Centre of Excellence, which will develop recycling solutions for the region. The centre signed several agreements with various partners such as universities and research facilities, including the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Norway and the Centre for Biocomposites and Biomaterials Processing at the University of Toronto in Canada, to tap their expertise and knowledge in plastic recycling.
